Bodog Poker Crowns Its First King of the Felt Bodog Poker crowned its inaugural King of the Felt, "Ddsromero", this past Thursday. After an intense 50-minute heads-up battle with "Brutus31" it all came down to one hand, "Brutus31's" A8 vs. "Ddsromero's" AJ. "Ddsromero's" AJ held up, winning him a $1,000 prize and ultimate bragging rights as Bodog Poker's first ever King of the Felt.

With the crown comes glory, bragging rights, and cash, but only for as long as the King can defend it. This Thursday, reigning King of the Felt "Ddsromero" will once again have to rise to the challenge and defend his crown against a newcomer. Every week a new challenger will be drawn, at random, and will have the chance to topple the reigning King in heads-up online poker action. If the reigning King is taken down by the newcomer, the newcomer will be crowned the new King of the Felt, awarded $1,000, and will then have to do their best to defend the honor of the crown. The longer a King reigns and defends their crown, the bigger their potential payouts get. Being crowned King of the Felt pays $1,000, defending the crown each subsequent week pays an additional $1,000, defending the crown for 5-weeks straight pays $2,500, and an incredible 10-week streak will earn the reigning King a shot at a 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event prize package worth an estimated $12,000.

Earning a shot at Bodog Poker's King of the Felt Crown is simple, make the money in three Sit and Go tournaments in one week and earn one entry into the weekly draw. Cash in six Sit and Gos and earn two entries into the draw as well as entry into a $1,000 Freeroll. Better still, cash in nine or more Sit and Gos in a single week and earn three entries into the draw and entry into a $500 Freeroll. The weekly 'Bodog Poker King of the Felt' draw will happen every Monday, and any player to have cashed in at least three Sit and Gos the previous week will be automatically entered into the draw once for every entry earned. Every Thursday at 8:45pm ET the reigning King and the winner of the draw will do battle in heads-up poker action to determine whether or not the King will continue to reign, or a new King is to be crowned.

"Earning a name for yourself in the Poker world isn't nearly as easy as it used to be, but with competitions like Bodog Poker's King of the Felt, anyone has a chance to wear the crown," says Bodog Poker Pro Amanda Musumeci.
