Iowa Mulls Offering Legalized Sports Betting

The Iowa Senate is considering a bill that would offer legalized sports betting in Iowa Casinos.
This bill has a long uphill climb ahead of it, as it not only needs to be approved by the Senate prior to the first sports bet being accepted, it will need to be signed off on by the state Governor, AND it still counts on the US government repealing its 1992 federal ban on sports betting (which exempts only a few states, and Iowa is not one of the states exempted).
New Jersey (also not exempted) has recently challenged the federal law, in hopes of offering sports betting at casinos in Atlantic City.
So the question is: What happens if the federal courts do not overturn the law? Will the states that want to offer gambling exercise their right, protected by the 10th amendment of the Constitution for the United States of America, to legislate on their own behalf relative to those issues that have not been explicitly ceded to the Federal government to decide under the Constitution (and in doing so tell the federal government to "go fly a kite"? Will they secede?
Secession is perhaps an extreme and unlikely eventuality, but the fact is that the federal government cannot expect to dictate unilaterally for the states against the will of the citizens of those states, and not have any consequences as a result. Eventually the people have enough and will no longer accept their decisions. Whether this is manifested in the form of secession resulting in some form of physical revolution, or whether it is manifested at the polls by voting government authoritarians out of office, and voting in people that are in favor of very limited federal government, such as Ron Paul and other similar candidates, remains to be seen.
One always hopes for a non violent conclusion, but in order for such to happen, the government will need to bend to the will of the people instead of enforcing its own will on the people at the point of a gun.
