A new law proposed by US senator Barney Frank is set to make way for UK operators to enter the US market legally. In the past the U.S. government has considered such practices illegal and only a select few offshore operators (more frequently than not, the less reputable operators based in the more poorly-regulated jurisdictions) dared to market to U.S. players.

The new bill proposal saw major online gambling shares in the UK rise by 10% in less than a day.
